Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication data provided by your login provider (such as Google).

Tribute Content: Photos, stories, audio recordings, interview responses, and other materials you upload or provide through the platform.

Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, and timestamps.

Payment Information: When you make a purchase, payment details are processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide and improve our services, including: creating and managing your memorial tributes, processing your content through AI to generate biographical narratives, sending transactional emails (such as contributor invitations), and processing payments.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your tribute content for advertising purposes.

3. AI and Data Processing

Your interview responses and uploaded content are processed by artificial intelligence systems to generate biographical narratives. This processing involves sending your content to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI).

We take measures to minimize the personal data sent to AI providers and ensure that your content is not used to train their models. AI-generated content is stored in our systems and associated with your account.

4. Third-Party Sharing

We share data with the following categories of service providers, solely for the purpose of operating the platform: authentication services (Supabase), AI processing (OpenAI), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), and cloud storage for media files.

Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

5. Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit. Media files (photos, audio) are stored in secure cloud storage with access controls.

While we implement industry-standard security measures, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under data protection laws such as the LGPD (Brazil) or GDPR (European Union). These rights may include: accessing your personal data, correcting inaccurate data, requesting deletion of your data, requesting a copy of your data in a portable format, and withdrawing consent for data processing.

7. Cookies

Qamani uses essential cookies required for the platform to function properly, such as authentication tokens. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using the platform.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Tribute content may be retained if other contributors have consented to its use, in accordance with applicable laws.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the platform or via email. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
